In this episode, Aphrodite Gonou, Contemporary Art Program Advisor at the Museum of Cycladic Art, invites Dimitrios Antonitsis, artist and founder of the Hydra School Projects initiative, to discuss the exhibition “Brice Marden and Greek Antiquity” that Dimitrios curated in 2022 at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens, Greece. A close friend of Marden’s for more than twenty years, Dimitrios shares insightful aspects of the renowned artist’s practice and philosophy of life, as well as the unique and intimate choices of the artworks included in the exhibition. They also talk about Hydra, the island that still inspires many artists today and finally about Dimitrios’ art and his ongoing Hydra School Projects.
