Lida Karanikolou, ΜSc
Lida Karanikolou was born in Athens.
She graduated with honors from the Department of Communication and Mass Media of the University of Athens and holds the postgraduate title of the same faculty as well as the postgraduate title of the Department “Management of Cultural Units” of the Hellenic Open University. She also holds a Piano Diploma from the «Ηellenic Music Conservatory» where she also completed studies of harmony, history and morphology of music.
She has 26 years of professional experience as Communication Director in many major greek and multinational companies (Coca Cola Company, Tria Epsilon), public relations companies, advertising agencies and institutions in the public sector αs the Ministry of Public Order. She has worked for many years as a journalist in newspapers I KATHIMERINI, Eleftherotypia, AXIA, Athens Voice and has translated into greek articles of Le Monde Diplomatique for the magazine AFIEROMATA.
Since 2007 she developed expertise in cultural management and communication of cultural institutions, as she has been the Head of the Department of Communication and Promotion at the Hellenic World Foundation and the “Hellenic Cosmos” Cultural Center. Since 2015 she has been working for the Museum of Cycladic Art-the last two years as Head of Communication and Institutional Promotion. As Head of Communication, she has collaborated with the International Dance Festival of Kalamata, with many theaters such as the PORTA Theater, the ROES Theater, the Cyclades street-Lefteris Vogiatzis Theater, with performances of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival and with various cultural projects such as the Site Specific Project “International Place: Argos Mycenae”, by Eleni Varopoulou in 2017.
