THE PROGRAM

Children will be briefly introduced to the history of chess and its notoriety throughout the world and will thus encounter the perceptions and daily habits of different peoples at different times. So many different faces and colors in our radiant world beyond the black & white chessboard.

Furthermore, children will learn that problems and conflicts can be resolved amicably, they will reflect on social stereotypes through the different roles of chess pieces, while at the same time they will get to know the Cycladic culture and especially the marble figurines with which they will “play” a game of chess!

Ready to play?

*Knowing the rules of the game is not required
