Archaeological Contributions

RESEARCH

CONFERENCES

In recent years, the Museum’s programme has included a lecture series entitled «Αρχαιολογικές Συμβολές» (“Archaeological Contributions”), in collaboration with the Ephorates of Antiquities of Greece and the Foreign Archaeological Schools, focusing on their research, as well as the multifaceted work of conservation, restoration, protection and promotion of the country’s archaeological treasures. Since 2009, the Museum of Cycladic Art has hosted archaeologists and conservators of antiquities from the Ephorates of Attica, Boeotia, Euboea, Phocis, and Eastern Crete.

In this way, the Museum of Cycladic Art contributes to the dissemination of data and information on new archaeological sites and finds to both the scientific and the broader audience, while providing a platform for fruitful discussion and dialogue.

All scientific papers presented in the lectures framework are published in the series “Archaeological Contributions” by the Museum of Cycladic Art. With the financial support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, four volumes have been published and a fifth one is in progress:
