In this episode Dr. Panagiotis Iossif, Curator of Classical Antiquities at the Museum of Cycladic Art welcomes Dr. Anastasia Christophfilopoulou, Senior Curator of the Ancient Mediterranean at the Fitzwilliam Museum and member of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at the University of Cambridge, and discuss about the topic of “islandness”, island networks, and the sea itself. On the occasion of the exhibition “Islanders: The Making of the Mediterranean” which Dr. Christophilopoulou curated at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, the discussion revolves around the cultural and social identity of the islanders, the concept of networks, as well as the changes in the islands’ natural environment due to of climate change.
