Atalanti Martinou

Atalanti Martinou was born in Athens in 1987. She holds a BA in History of Art & Architecture from Brown University in Rhode Island. After graduating in 2007 she moved to New York to study fashion at Parsons The New School for design earning a degree in 2008.

In 2009 she worked at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in the Painting & Sculpture department, working on the catalogue for Gabriel Orozco’s retrospective.

Between 2009-2011 she worked for Sotheby’s auction house in the contemporary art department and the contemporary art sales and then from 2011-2013 as a director at Skarstedt Gallery focusing on artists from the 1980’s.

She is currently living in Athens where she is actively involved in thecontemporary art program of the Museum of Cycladic Art since 2014; as well as being part of the Founding Committee of the Young Patron program together with Lena Economides and Aliki Marcadia Lambropoulos.
