Marietta Kypriotaki, MA

Marietta Kypriotaki was born in Athens in 1992. She studied Archaeology and Art History at the Department of History and Archaeology [University of Crete (Rethymnon)]. She continued her postgraduate studies in Byzantine Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (summa cum laude). She has participated in interdisciplinary Postgraduate conferences.

For many years she has participated in field researches, rescue excavations and systematic archaeological excavations, such as the archaeological excavation-field research of ancient Eleutherna in Rethymno regional unit (Crete) (Sector II).

In 2023 she successfully completed the Education Program entitled: “The Archaeology of Prehistoric Cyprus: Material Culture, Economic and Social Organisation” by the Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She was a tour guide at the Museum of Cycladic Art from 2019 to 2022 and since 2023, she works as an Assistant Curator of Antiquities with special duties on the archives, the library, and the scientific research conducted at the Museum.
