Maria Tsene
Maria Tsene joined the team at the Museum of Cycladic Art in February of 2025 taking on the position of Director of Learning, Impact, and Public Engagement. Maria has many years of experience in project management, having coordinated programs with a total budget of over €25 million, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Civil Society sector. She has served as Head of Regranting Programs (CERV–EU Values & DAPHNE) and as Assistant Program Director (ACF–EEA Grants) at one of the largest public benefit foundations in Greece. She has worked in the public sector (Ministry of Education and Ministry of Tourism) and the private sector (SPSS Hellas), holding managerial positions, and has also worked as an educator in secondary education.
She holds an international certification in Project Management for Development Professionals (PM4NGOs) and NLP Practitioner (INLPTA). She is an active member of the mentors’ network Social Dynamo, the NGO Hub of the Bodossaki Foundation offering consulting to Civil Society organizations for their organizational development (capacity building).
She holds two degrees in Humanities and a master’s degree in Social Ethics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
