Maria Basagianni
Maria Basagianni has graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has earned a master’s degree in Arts and Heritage Management (University of Sheffield, UK) and continued her postgraduate studies in Art History (MA) at the University of London with a scholarship by the Onassis Cultural Benefit Foundation.
She has been employed at the Communication and Development Department of the Museum of Cycladic Art since 2005, where she has worked extensively for the Press and Communication office. She was Head of the Cycladic Friends from 2009-2019. Since 2011 she has undertaken the role of the Exhibitions Manager, overseeing the planning and implementation of the Museum’s contemporary art exhibitions, including exhibitions with works by Ai Weiwei, Cy Twombly, Jannis Kounellis and Brice Marden, among others.
