SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOLS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

THE PROGRAM

Recognizing the importance of inclusion in art, the Museum of Cycladic Art provides accessible tours in sign language and art workshops with specialized associates in November and December.

The program, which is implemented in collaboration with Hands Up, aims to offer deaf or hearing-impaired individuals the opportunity to learn, explore and socialize in a comfortable and safe cultural environment, ensuring that every visitor can enjoy a museum experience without barriers.

For the exhibitions Cycladic Art and Scenes from Daily Life in Antiquity, video guided tours in Greek Sign Language with Greek subtitles and in international Sign Language with English subtitles were created and are projected on the exhibition floors. Also, for selected objects in the exhibitions Ancient Greek Art: A History in Images and Ancient Cypriot Art, video descriptions in Greek Sign Language with Greek subtitles and in international Sign Language with English subtitles were created. All guided tours are available on the Museum’s website and tour application.
