Art for all
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOLS & PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
THE PROGRAM
The Museum of Cycladic Art, as part of its commitment to inclusion, implements the “Art for All” program, which features guided tours and creative workshops specifically designed for special education schools and groups with disabilities. Along with partners specialized in the educational and psychotherapeutic dimension of art, the workshops use play as a tool of empowerment and personal expression.
The program includes educational tours of the Museum, where beneficiaries are guided through the permanent collections and participate in art workshops, which take place in a specially designed and accessible space of the Museum. For groups with mobility difficulties, the option of conducting workshops outside the Museum is also offered.
The goal of the program is to equally include people with disabilities in the city’s cultural life, with the aim of cultivating communication skills and strengthening self-confidence through an experiential relationship with art. Emphasis is placed on the joy of participation, cooperation and the creation of a common learning space, where everyone is feeling free and safe.
Since 2022, the program has been implemented with the support of the Antonios and Ioannis Angelikousis Foundation.
