“Masks as Mosaics!”

FEBRUARY 2025

FOR CHILDREN AGES 4-7 YEARS OLD

THE PROGRAM

Known for their elaborate masks designed to intimidate enemies, the Aztecs used natural materials such as wood, stones, and legumes to create their masterpieces. Inspired by this rich heritage, participants will craft stunning mosaic masks of animals or mythical creatures, combining natural materials with vibrant colors and intricate patterns. This workshop offers a unique blend of artistic expression and cultural discovery, allowing participants to create their own Carnival masterpieces while learning about the creativity and resourcefulness of the Aztec people.

PS.1: Children need to wear casual and comfy clothes and be ready to get messy, as we will definitely get messy!
