“Judith Scott – Wrap, Wrap, Wrap”

MARCH 2025

FOR CHILDREN AGES 7-11 YEARS OLD

THE PROGRAM

When her twin sister enrolled her in a creative arts program, Judith initially showed little interest in artistic expression. However, everything changed when she discovered the joy of wrapping objects in layers of thread and fabric.

Using unconventional materials such as yarn, twine, and branches, Scott meticulously wrapped and bound objects, creating intricate, textural sculptures. Her work demonstrated that art could serve as a powerful means of communication, particularly for individuals who face barriers to verbal expression. Inspired by Scott’s techniques, this workshop invites participants to experiment with wrapping techniques, combining threads, ribbons, and diverse materials to create their own unique sculptural works.

PS: Children need to wear casual and comfy clothes and be ready to get messy, as we will definitely get messy!
