“Arte Povera-Jannis Kounellis When Recycling Becomes Art”
DISCOVERING GREAT CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS
FOR CHILDREN 4-7 YEARS OLD
THE PROGRAM
Can I create art from used materials? What can I make with soil, wood, stones, newspapers and old fabrics? Can a work of art hold within it a unique fairy tale?
It all began in Italy in the late 1960s when “poor art” or “Arte Povera” emerged, gradually evolving over the years through the work of various artists, including Pino Pascali, Mario Merz and Giannis Kounelis.
In our workshop, we’ll explore the materials used by Arte Povera artists and the techniques they use to construct their works, we’ll draw inspiration and craft our own unique creations and narratives, which we’ll proudly share with our most cherished and faithful audience: our parents!
PS.1: Children need to wear casual and comfy clothes and be ready to get messy, as we will definitely get messy!
PS.2: The workshop is intended for unaccompanied children. Parents can only enter the workshop during the presentation at the end of the hour.
