Job posting: Project Officer (European Union funded projects)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Officer for European Union funded projects will support the European Projects Coordinator of the Museum of Cycladic Art in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of projects, ensuring the timely execution of activities and deliverables. The role has a strong operational focus and includes task tracking, preparation of reports and project documentation, deliverables development, proposal support, and coordination of day-to-day project processes to facilitate the successful achievement of project objectives and compliance with funded programs’ requirements.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in international project meetings, conferences, networking events, and study visits abroad within the framework of European projects. In addition, the position offers continuous professional development and capacity-building opportunities in the field of EU-funded projects, within a dynamic and collaborative working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support of the organization and preparation of coordination meetings
  • Meeting organization (agenda, minutes)
  • Task tracking and follow-ups on assigned actions
  • Deliverables drafting support
  • Participation in the writing and development of new project proposals
  • Documentation and reporting support (online documents, templates, trackers)
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Support the creation of dissemination material, presentations and digital content
  • Manage communication tools and digital platforms to enhance visibility and project impact
  • Familiarity with European Union projects’ budget management
  • Participation in project meetings and networking sessions abroad for project coordination purposes

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (culture, education, cultural heritage management, humanities, inclusion, accessibility, technological applications in the field of culture). A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in project management, support and coordination roles, deliverables’ development, proposal writing in European Union programs (Horizon Europe, Creative Europe, Erasmus+) and other international cooperation projects (such as EEA Grants projects)
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Greek Language
  • Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with project management and reporting platforms used in the implementation of European-funded programmes will be considered an asset
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team spirit and collaboration skills
