Georgios Karampelas

Georgios Karampelas was born in Athens in 1992 and graduated from the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean. In 2019, he earned a master’s degree in Digital Media from Goldsmiths, University of London (MA in Digital Media). Since February 2020, he is a PhD candidate at the University of the Aegean with a research focus on Digital Culture & Digital Humanities.

He worked at the Communication & Development Department of the Museum of Cycladic Art, specifically in the field of Digital Development and Communications from 2016 to 2021. His work was related to the Museum’s visual and digital identity while also serving as the administrator of all Museum websites. Additionally he participated in the communication strategy regarding the Museum’s temporary exhibitions, both archaeological and contemporary as project coordinator and/or project manager.

From December 2021 to February 2024 he worked at the Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as a Digital Communications Manager.

Since February 2024 he has been working as a Digital Media Manager at the Museum of Cycladic Art.
