The Family kit

Each Family kit hides in its drawers, maps and floor plans with stations for each exhibition, copies of exhibits, cards with information about them, an app for extra fun and a notebook with activities, that families are invited to use during the visit or even at home.

On the first floor, in the Cycladic Art exhibition, an ancient craftsman from the Cyclades, his son, an archaeologist, an art and antiquities restorer and a 3rd grade schoolgirl jump out of the box and narrate stories about the Cyclades, the Cycladic Culture, as well as about selected exhibits in their own unique way. Children and parents discover the permanent exhibition’s largest figurine using an augmented reality (AR) app exclusively designed for the Museum. Through this interactive game, children transform, take photos and are being photographed with the Cycladic figurine, learn information about it and visit the Museum’s premises together!

On the second floor, in the Ancient Greek Art section, clay vases come to life and narrate their journey, production, decoration, the myths they carry and an extensive variety of secrets that the family is invited to discover along the way.
