OBJECT NARRATIVES

DESCRIPTION

The so-called ‘frying pans’ owe their conventional name to their characteristic shape. Their use remains enigmatic. Their outer surface is decorated with concentric circles, simple or running spirals and radial motifs.

It is a type of vase that was widespread in the Cyclades and mainland Greece during the early 3rd millennium BC.
