Young Patrons Summer Weekend 2026

This year, the Friends Department of the Museum of Cycladic Art commissioned Maggoosh, the brand founded by Margarita Chryssaki, to create the visual identity for the Cycladic Young Patrons Summer Weekend. Inspired by the island of Kythnos, the visual identity was developed for the event invitation and the exclusive tote bag gifted to all Summer Weekend participants.

The Young Patrons experienced the traditional Kythnian “Panigyri” at Panagia Flabouriani, enjoying a traditional cycladic dinner by Nomade et Sauvage, joined an archaeological walk and the active excavation of Vryokastro, the ancient capital of Kythnos with Dr. Alexandros Mazarakis-Ainian
Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Thessaly, and director of the archaeological excavations on Kythnos and celebrated at the YP Summer Party.

They concluded the weekend with a farewell gathering including guided visits to the Archaeological Museum of Kythnos from the archaeologists of the Ephorate of Antiquities of the Cyclades (EFA Cyclades), Katerina Kalantzopoulou and Theodora Papangelopoulou, Thermia project from founder and curator Odette Kouzou and the artists Kyveli Zoi, Yannis Malinakis and Polina Miliou and the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour from Dr. Maria Z Sigala head of the Department of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Antiquities and Museums, Ephorate of Antiquities of the Cyclades (EFA Cyclades), followed by greetings, coffee and traditional bites by Fou.
