The Cycladic Identity Initiative travels to Paros
EVENTS
APRIL 18 & 19
THE EVENT
The events are focused on education, gastronomy, and the stories and memories of Paros. Admission is free, and the events will take place at the Paros Municipal Arts Centre (Dimitrakopoulos Building), with the support of the Municipality of Paros.
These events will explore the role of education in connecting younger generations with their place, the relationship between gastronomic tradition, sustainability, and social cohesion, and the power of personal memory and storytelling as a bridge between past and future. Every object, every local product, and every educational experience holds a story that belongs to the place.

Storytelling Workshop with Dr. Angeliki Kosmopoulou, Archaeologist – Story Strategist, Founder of Storymentor & Member of the Cycladic Identity Scientific Committee and Kostis Sfyrikidis, Voice Coach and Co-Founder of Storymentor.
Every object holds a story. It is a bridge between the past and the present. This storytelling workshop focuses on how objects, beyond their practical value, serve as carriers of memory and history. Participants are invited to bring a small object connected to Paros or to their own memories of the island. Using it as a starting point, they will learn to create and share a brief personal story. Through simple experiential exercises, they will discover how personal memories can be transformed into narratives that illuminate the relationship between people and their place.
