THE FESTIVAL

The Museum of Cycladic Art Kids Festival is back! for the second consecutive year, the Museum of Cycladic Art creates a multidisciplinary arts festival, outside its premises, accessible to all children.

The Museum of Cycladic Art proudly organizes the second Cycladic Kids Festival on September 21 and 22 at the Athens Conservatoire. The festival introduces for the first time activities for children at the archaeological site of Aristotle’s School [Lykeion]. This year, children and teenagers aged 2 to 18 years are invited to participate in the most creative weekend in the center of Athens with free admission!

On Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 September, the Athens Conservatoire, as the festival’s main venue, will host theater, music, dance performances, cinema, puppet shows, book narrations and visual arts workshops

Moreover, the Athens Conservatoire will host an exhibition with the works and winners of this year’s 11th Kids’ Art Contest curated by the Museum of Cycladic Art with the title “Today’s Stories on Ancient Vases” with 12,000 entries!

The Festival is held in collaboration with the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the City of Athens (OPANDA), the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens, with the support of the Ministry of Culture. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is Lead Donor, Eurolife FFH Strategic Partner and Coral Main Sponsor.

Attendance Guidelines

For the fully booked performances, please be sure to arrive at the auditorium 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The event will start on time once all seats are filled. If you arrive later than the advised time, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your participation, and your tickets will be given to other participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

For your entry, please save the confirmation email, to your phone, or print and bring it with you.

Please note that there are many more children that would like to attend the weekend’s performances than we can currently accommodate. If your plans have changed, we ask that you please cancel your attendance by following the instructions you received in your confirmation email.

Priority Registration Guidelines

⟶ SATURDAY 21/09
• For activities taking place from 11:00 to 14:30, priority registration tickets will be available starting at 10:00.
• For activities taking place from 17:00 to 19:00, priority registration tickets will be available starting at 16:00.

⟶ SUNDAY 22/09
• For activities that require them, priority registration tickets will be available starting at 10:00.

Video / Photography

During the Cycladic Kids Festival, organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art, all activities will be photographed and recorded. The material will be used by the organizers and the Cycladic Kids Festival sponsors to promote the event in the media, on the Museum’s website, on social networks, etc.

Entering this space indicates your consent to being photographed/recorded and your consent to use this material for the above purposes.

THE KIDS’ CONTEST

The second Cycladic Kids Festival is the culmination of the International Kids’ Art Contest by the Museum of Cycladic Art, which celebrates its 11th anniversary!

The Athens Conservatoire will host an exhibition with the works and winners of this year’s 11^th Kids’ Art Contest curated by the Museum of Cycladic Art with the title “Today’s Stories on Ancient Vases” with 12,000 entries!
