Cycladic Seminar
10 Things I Like About Jeff Koons

EVENTS

20, 27 MAY & JUNE 3 2026

THE EVENT

Through the observation of artworks, the exchange of views and the exploration of various approaches to art, participants will have the chance to consider essential questions that often accompany contemporary artistic creation such as what is the relationship between idea, aesthetic experience, and the art market? How is our personal perception of a work of art formed? And how does our way of seeing shift when we enter into a more substantial dialogue with art?

The seminar aims to create a space where diverse perspectives can coexist constructively, encouraging participants to trust their own judgment and to reconsider the criteria through which they approach a work of art.

The series ends with an open debate in the final session where participants are invited to present and articulate their own positions.

This seminar is addressed to those who wish not only to become more familiar with Jeff Koons’ work, but also to discover new ways of thinking about, observing, and engaging with contemporary art.

The seminar will be led by Elli Paxinou, Art Theorist and Education Curator, and Dr Antonis Stoantzikis, Visual Artist and Lecturer at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
