“What would you like the Museum to be?”

The Museum of Cycladic Art is transforming and asking kids and teens for their advice!

This year’s 13th International Art Contest is titled “I would like a Museum to be…” and invites children and teenagers, ages 4 to 18, to imagine the museum of the future. Launching a new chapter in its history—a “Transformation” that will renew its physical presence as well as the way it operates—the Museum opens a dialogue with children and adolescents, giving space to imagination, creativity and, for the first time, to their voices!

The International Art Contest of the Museum of Cycladic Art began in 2013, with the goal of bringing children closer to the museum and nurturing their imagination and creative expression. It has an international character, with participants from all over Greece and abroad, and is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greek embassies, consulates and international schools. It is aimed at children ages 4 to 15, as well as children attending Special Schools, and this year, for the first time, it is expanding to include high school students up to the age of 18, strengthening teen participation.
