Jeff Koons’ private studio visit in New York

YOUNG PATRONS

OCTOBER 2026

The tour was a real insight into Koons’ work as an artist and thinker. Following the exhibition “Jeff Koons: ‘Venus’ Lespugue”, recently presented at the Museum, Koons spoke about the intuitive beginnings of his work, which grow out of his interests, memories and visual associations, then take form over time. Our guests saw works in progress, models and prototypes, and learned how each piece comes together through collaboration with artists, engineers and materials specialists.

A highlight was the model for “Moon Phases”, a work that now sits on the Moon.

The conversation concluded with Koons reflecting on his affection for Greece and his recent time in Athens.
