WORKSHOPS ADDRESSED TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SANTORINI
THE EVENT
A comics and storytelling workshop where students will create their own deities, inspired by the mythology and traditions of the Cyclades, as presented in the exhibition «Kykladitisses: Untold Stories of Women in the Cyclades».
Drawing on selected exhibits and the accompanying comic book «kykladitisses: Untold Stories of Three Girls from the Cyclades» participants will explore the different deities of the Cyclades as well as those of the wider Mediterranean world.
They will then design their own deity-guardian who will become the main character of a mini comic.
Τhe Department of Learning, Impact & Public Engagement, in partnership with Cycladic Identity initiative, strategically aims to extend its programs throughout the Cycladic islands, with an emphasis on outreach to schools and on encouraging the active engagement of the educational and local community.

Participation requirement: Classes must have previously visited the exhibition, as students will be required to select one exhibit as a reference point for the implementation of the workshop.
