“Giving the Vessels… a New Life!”

FEBRUARY 2026

FOR CHILDREN AGES 7-11 YEARS OLD

THE PROGRAM

This creative workshop is inspired by the timeless beauty of ancient Greek amphorae and their enduring decorative language. Together with young artists, we will design and construct our own paper amphorae, experimenting with shapes, colors, and patterns drawn from ancient Greek ornamentation. Through cutting, assembling, and decorating, children will transform simple paper vessels into vibrant, three-dimensional sculptures.

Using only scissors, paper, and plenty of imagination, participants will discover how everyday materials can be reinvented into expressive works of art. This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and confidence, showing children that artistic value does not depend on complex tools but on ideas and playful exploration. Each creation will be completely unique, reflecting the personality and vision of its maker.

PS: Children are encouraged to wear comfortable, everyday clothes and be ready to get messy — because ooh boy we will!
