Art for all in Messinia

Through the program, students from special schools in Messinia can familiarize themselves with the Cycladic culture, in order to learn while having fun in a safe and creatively engaging environment.

During the workshops, the museum educator and art psychotherapist give the children the opportunity to explore copies of figurines and other materials, such as rocks, etc. The students, then participate in various art activities, such as painting their own figurine or creating one from clay and experiencing what it means to be “archaeologists” by searching for fragments in the sand.
