THE PROGRAM

The program “Well-Being for People 60+” is a part of the “Art on prescription” project, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Research University Institute of Mental Health, Neurosciences and Precision Medicine “Kostas Stefanis”. The aim of the Program is to reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression, strengthen mental resilience and emotional regulation, as well as enhance social connectedness, thus reducing the feeling of loneliness.

The Program will take place in two three-month cycles and will include 12 meetings, free of charge, at the Museum of Cycladic Art, always with the collaboration of mental health professionals.

The people who participate in the program will explore topics such as mental well-being and mental difficulties, the importance of self-care, the process of loss and the idea of self-compassion. These themes will be investigated through experiential activities, art therapy techniques as well as interventions that utilize the Museum’s exhibits.

The project/action is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
