“Teenagers Converse with the Cycladic Women”

MARCH 2025

FOR CHILDREN AGES 15-18 YEARS OLD

THE PROGRAM

Through an interactive dialogue between literature and history, participants will engage with the narratives of fictional and real-life women, drawing parallels between their experiences and those of contemporary figures.

Following a guided tour of the exhibition, educators will lead a thought-provoking discussion centered on the representation of women in literature. Participants will examine characters from books such as Heartstopper, Amphibians, When I Spread My Wings, Do I Have a Right? Yes, I do!, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Every Day Another, and Julian is a Mermaid. Through these stories, teenagers will reflect on the evolving roles of women in society, challenging stereotypes and embracing diverse perspectives.
