“Andy Goldsworthy Sculptures dedicated to the harmony of nature”
ART REFLECTS OUR WORLD
FOR CHILDREN 7-11 YEARS OLD
THE PROGRAM
Goldsworthy’s goal is, through this close interaction and cooperation, to better understand the environment in which we live and to capture an ideal world, which is harmoniously connected with nature and resists the fast pace of our life in the city.
Working with whatever simple tools nature freely offers, such as branches, leaves, stones, snow, ice, reeds, thorns and feathers, he reveals his intention behind these choices by stating:
“I want to get under the surface. When I work with a leaf, rock, stick, it is not just that material in itself, it is an opening into the processes of life within and around it. When I leave it, these processes continue. ”
Inspired by the works and philosophy of Andy Goldsworthy, the children will have the opportunity to create sculptures dedicated to the harmony of nature, using natural materials and experimenting with delicate balances, which the artist himself incorporates into his work.
PS.: Children need to wear casual and comfy clothes and be ready to get messy, as we will definitely get messy!
