Our commitment is to gradually make all our exhibitions, programs, actions and buildings accessible to all.

Accessibility, equal treatment, inclusion: key concepts for the identity and narrative of any modern museum.

Concepts that the Museum of Cycladic Art gradually applies to all its operations. Please review the visitor information below to plan your visit in advance.

VISITING THE MUSEUM

Entrance

The main entrance of the Museum on 4 Neophytou Douka street is accessible through a wheelchair ramp located on the street’s pavement. To access the Dolly Goulandris Wing where there is a change in level, an electric stair lift has been installed. The Museum’s permanent collections are accessible by elevator. The Stathatos Mansion is accessible through a building corridor. Access to the Stathatos’ Mansion floor is limited.

Accessibility

All corridors, entrance and exit doors, elevators, exhibition halls and the Cycladic Café have clear opening width for all types of wheelchairs. Exhibit panels and labels are visible to wheelchair users. Interactive exhibits are also accessible to all people. Accessible sanitary facilities are located on level -1 and on the 4th floor.

Braille

The main elevator is designed in accordance with the appropriate accessibility standards and specifications for the use of the elevator control system with braille markings, placed at an ideal height.

Wheelchairs

Two wheelchairs are available free of charge at the Museum’s main entrance on 4 Neophytou Douka street. The use of electric wheelchairs is permitted.

Parking

A temporary passenger loading parking space is available in front of the main entrance of the Museum on 4 Neophytou Douka street. Permanent parking area is not available.
Within walking distance from the Museum, visitors can find four private parking lots.

Guide and Assistance dogs

Guide and Assistance dogs are allowed in all Museum’s areas. No pets are allowed.

Sign Language Guided Tours

In addition to the Museum’s guided tours in the Greek Sign Language, the Museum visitors’ app has a guided tours section dedicated to the permanent collections in Greek and International Sign Language.

People with sensory and motor difficulties and their companions are entitled to free admission to the Museum of Cycladic Art. It is required to present all necessary documents at the Museum’s entrance.

The Museum’s website has been designed according to the basic principles of accessibility. It is highly functional, compatible with current and future usage technologies and presents the content in a friendly and understandable manner to all users.
