Copy of a rare type of figurine rendering the human form. It was discovered at the site of Kilia on the peninsula of Kallipolis (Gallipoli) in Eastern Thrace. This type of figurine is also known as “Stargazer” because of the strong backwards tilt of the head, with the eyes looking upwards. It is found mainly in the region of Asia Minor and spans a long chronological period, from the end of the 5th to the middle of the 4th millennium BC.
