Small Ceramic Vessel
€45.00
Handmade ceramic vessel inspired by the decoration of a dovehouse
Dovehouses are rectangular structures found in the Cyclades, traditionally used for housing and breeding pigeons. They were considered symbols of noble origin, and the more elaborate their decorative elements, the wealthier the owner was believed to be. In traditional island architecture, dovehouses are regarded as important examples of folk art, featuring intricate geometric designs on their facades.
