Bracelet inspired by the Macedonian shield.
The Macedonian shield (aspis) was the symbol of a dynasty that reached the extremities of the earth and the main defensive weapon of the army of Philip II of Macedon and Alexander the Great. Made of copper or brass, it consisted of successive leather disks sewn together and fixed on a wooden or metal frame. It was often decorated with celestial symbols and references to the cosmological character of the Macedonian dynasty.
