Puzzle the Naval Battle of Navarino

€16.00

150 pieces

After the Greeks had waged relentless war on the Turks for seven years, the three Great Powers- Britain, France and Russia- decided to assist the Greek Revolution. In October 1827, 27 ships of the combined European fleet massed in the bay of Navarino. There they scuttled the Turkish Navy that was almost twice as big, with 52 vessels. The Naval Battle of Navarino boosted the morale of the fighting Greeks, because they now saw the day of their liberation drawing nigh.
