Owl Round Plate

Owl is a symbol of wisdom and prudence. Symbolism comes from antiquity and Greek mythology when goddess Athena, the patron goddess of wisdom and learning, was impressed by her large eyes and strict appearance. Since then, owl became her favorite bird and emblem and is found on many of her statues. It is even depicted on the tetradrachm, the ancient coin of Athens during the 5th century, as a symbol of intelligence and wealth.
