Large Oenochoe
€640.00
This vase, which comes from Cyprus, depicts a large water bird typical of the local fauna. It has biting claws, a long and curved neck, a closed beak and imposing, open wings. On the body of the vase, the potter illustrated a single free subject or a figurative composition in the technique known as “Free Field Style”. The pinkish and faded rendering of the clay surface is impressive.
