In antiquity, Tyche was a goddess, daughter of Hermes and Aphrodite, and was worshiped by the ancient Greeks as patroness of people and cities. The Hellenistic era created the type of majestic female figure with crown, miniature of the city wall and personification of newly built cities. Usually held in her left hand cornucopia symbolizing abundance and in her right hand rudder and scepter.
