Ceramic Vessel – Red
€120.00
Handmade ceramic vessel inspired by the violin-shaped figurines.
Among the earliest anthropomorphic figurines of the Aegean, the so-called violin-shaped figurines are named after their characteristic outline, which resembles the body of a violin. Minimal and abstract, they convey a timeless sense of harmony and balance.
They may have symbolized the female form and fertility or served as ritual objects. In their simplicity lies a profound symbolic power, and they are considered precursors of the later Cycladic figurines.
