The spiral, a symbol of the ancient peoples of the eastern Mediterranean, appears from the Paleolithic era and decorates the ancient Cycladic vases. The double spiral depicts the alternation of day and night, the two hemispheres of the earth, the poles and the tones of nature that coexist harmoniously in the Universe.
