Suddenly the day turns into night. It’s a storm! Will the friends make it to shelter? Will their fort survive the storm? Marie Dorléans’s illustrations capture the sensory pleasures of nature, as well as its capriciousness, while her story reminds us of the simple joy of being with friends and sharing a great adventure.

Η «άλλη ματιά», οι σκέψεις δηλαδή και τα έργα διάσημων καλλιτεχνών, όπως ο Brancusi, ο Modigliani, ο Picasso και πολλοί άλλοι, που από τις&nbsp;αρχές του 20ου αιώνα εμπνεύστηκαν από την Κυκλαδική τέχνη, μας προσκαλούν να πλησιάσουμε κι εμείς με τη δική μας ματιά τα κυκλαδικά ειδώλια και να φανταστούμε μια γέφυρα ανάμεσα σε χιλιετίες.

A modern eye on Cycladic sculpture











The book was written to acquaint readers of all ages with the Cycladic sculpture (Greece, 3200-2000 BC) and its relation to Modern Art. As the title suggests, the book is based on the questions and comments that children often make when they encounter "the little marble statues" for the first time in their museum visits.
