H πρώτη μεγάλη ατομική μουσειακή&nbsp;<a href="https://cycladic.gr/page/george-condo-at-cycladic" target="_blank">έκθεση</a>&nbsp;του George Condo στην Ελλάδα πραγματοποιήθηκε το 2018 στο Μουσείο Κυκλαδικής Τέχνης. Παρουσιάστηκαν 30 έργα - ζωγραφικά, γλυπτά και σχέδια - από τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια πορείας του Αμερικανού καλλιτέχνη, επιχειρώντας να εξερευνήσουν την ανθρώπινη μορφή, κεντρικό άξονα του προγράμματος σύγχρονης τέχνης του ΜΚΤ.

Παίζοντας με το χρόνο και την εικονογραφία, ο Condo αντλεί από την αρχαία ελληνική κλασική τέχνη, τους Ολλανδούς ζωγράφους του 17ου αιώνα, αλλά και από τους Francisco Goya, Diego Velasquez και Pablo Picasso, μεταξύ άλλων

George Condo’s first large solo museum&nbsp;<a href="https://cycladic.gr/en/page/george-condo-at-cycladic" target="_blank">exhibition</a>&nbsp;in Greece was hosted at the Museum&nbsp;of Cycladic Art in 2018.&nbsp;The exhibition presented a total of 30 works - including paintings, sculptures and drawings - which spanned the past 20 years of the artist’s oeuvre, exploring the human figure, a principal theme of the&nbsp;Museum’s contemporary art exhibitions program.

Playing with both time and iconography, Condo has looked to Greek classical art, seventeenth-century Dutch old master painters, as well as Francisco Goya, Diego Velasquez, and Pablo Picasso among others.

Tο 2016 το Μουσείο Κυκλαδικής Τέχνης φιλοξένησε την έκθεση «Ai Weiwei at Cycladic», την πρώτη παρουσίαση έργων του καλλιτέχνη στην Ελλάδα, καθώς και για τη μοναδική έκθεσή του που φιλοξενήθηκε σε αρχαιολογικό μουσείο παγκοσμίως μέχρι σήμερα. Μέσα από την έκθεση διερευνήθηκε&nbsp;ο τρόπος με τον οποίο ο Ai Weiwei αξιοποιεί υλικά γνωστά ήδη στην αρχαία τέχνη όπως το μάρμαρο και παραδοσιακές τεχνικές όπως η ξυλογλυπτική.

In 2016 the Museum of Cycladic Art hosted the exhibition "Ai Wei Wei at Cycladic", the artist’s first exhibition in Greece and in an archaeological museum worldwide. The exhibition explored the way&nbsp;Ai Weiwei uses materials that are&nbsp;already known in ancient art such as marble and traditional techniques such as wood carving.
