\u201cLovers\u2019 Chorus\u201d transports us to the center of a couple’s relationship as they step on the threshold of a life-and-death experience. From there, it explores the course of their shared life, a \u2018together forever\u2019 against time and corrosion. Two parallel monologues, two voices that sound like one, present the subtly different versions of their love story.<\/p>\n
Tiago Rodrigues\u2019 \u201cLovers\u2019 Chorus\u201d is published in Greek in a translation from Portuguese by Maria Papadima, as part of the\u00a0play\u2019s presentation on the Onassis Stegi Upper Stage during the season 2024-2025.<\/p>\n
This is the first play by the Portuguese writer, director, and artistic director of the Avignon Festival, as well as his most autobiographical one, which he began writing in 2006 and completed in 2020.<\/p>\n
