\n For the fourth consecutive year, the Museum of Cycladic Art is creating a multidisciplinary arts festival beyond the walls of the Museum, making it accessible to all children.

\u201cI Would Like a Museum to Be\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was the question posed at the 13th International Kids\u2019 Art Contest organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art. Thousands of children and teenagers from around the world responded by drawing and recording their ideas, showing us how they imagine a museum that truly belongs to them.<\/p>\n

The 4th Cycladic Kids Festival is here to bring their ideas to life! Each Festival activity takes its title from an artwork that was awarded or recognized by the Competition\u2019s jury. Through their participation, children and teenagers have helped shape the Festival program.<\/p>\n

On 26 and 27 September 2026, the Athens Municipality Arts Center at Eleftherias Park will be transformed into a museum without walls \u2014 open, vibrant and full of color. Admission is free for kids, teenagers, families and everyone who wants to join the celebration.<\/p>\n

The 4th Cycladic Kids Festival has been designed with inclusion in mind and in collaboration with specialized accessibility partners, liminal, so that every visitor can find their own place, regardless of age, needs, or social background. The program is aimed at children from age 4, teenagers, families, and adults. The venue is accessible to people with mobility disabilities. Accessibility also extends to the program, with services for selected exhibits and activities, such as interpretation in Greek Sign Language (GSL), subtitles for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people, audio description, materials in Braille and tactile maps for people with visual disabilities, as well as adaptations to the workshops and preparatory material for neurodivergent visitors. Because that’s what the children asked for: a museum for EVERYONE!<\/em><\/p>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

The Museum Opens Up a Dialogue!<\/h3>
A video animation brings the kids\u2019 artworks to life, while through AR, a Cycladic figurine interacts with the audience. A free-expression wall invites children to share their thoughts by drawing and writing, and to contribute to an ever-changing exhibition! The Museum\u2019s Museum Kits are on display and ready for you to explore them.<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\n
