\n The Museum of Cycladic Art participates in the International Museum Day to be celebrated on May 18 with extended opening hours and free admission to permanent exhibitions and multiple actions for all ages. \n <\/div>\n \n \n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n

On Saturday, May 18, the Museum, the Cycladic Shop and the Cycladic Caf\u00e9 will be open until 18:00. The title of this year’s International Museum Day is “Museums for Education and Research”, a theme directly linked to the vision and goals of the Museum of Cycladic Art.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

10:00-17:00\r\nScreening of the film “Etel Adnan: Words in Exile” in cooperation with the Greek Film Archive<\/div>
The film reconstructs through a series of visual fragments, multiple languages, peoples and their identities, a unique portrait of poet and painter, Etel Adnan. The film is based on Adnan\u2019s correspondence with Dr. Fawwaz Traboulsi, professor of History and excerpts of her conversations with Vouvoula Skoura, recorded in Paris and Skopelos. Etel Adnan has lived and experienced the evils of the 20th century in Europe and the Middle East. Trapped between the two worlds, Adnan attempts to understand their differences and synthesizes them through her profound humanitarian vision.\r\n\r\nDuration: 55 minutes\r\nContributor: Greek Film Archive\r\nVenue: Educational lab<\/div><\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n \n\n

We look forward to hearing your thoughts and create together the “museum\u2019s world”!\r\n\r\nTo celebrate the International Museum Day, the Museum of Cycladic Art invites visitors to an interactive debate where young and old will provide answers to museum-related questions drawn-up by our staff.
