\n The art of Louise Bourgeois transcends conventional categorization, embodying themes of memory, identity, and emotional healing.\n <\/div>\n \n \n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n
\n
\n

For Bourgeois, art served as a means of processing the pain of her childhood and navigating complex familial relationships. She once said, “Art is restoration: the goal is to repair the damage caused to life, to turn something that is fragmented\u2014due to fear and anxiety\u2014into something whole.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Although Bourgeois initially studied mathematics and philosophy, she turned to art following her mother\u2019s death, using creativity as a means of self-discovery and healing. The fabric-based artworks she created in the last decade of her life reflect her deep connection to childhood memories and the lasting influence of her mother. In this workshop, participants will analyze Bourgeois\u2019 textile creations and sculpt their own three-dimensional figures from clay. Through this process, they will explore the profound symbolism embedded in artistic expression.<\/p>\n

PS.: Children need to wear casual and comfy clothes and be ready to get messy, as we will definitely get messy!<\/p>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
