THE WORKSHOPS<\/h2> <\/header>\n\n \n

\n In conjunction with the exhibition Kykladitisses: Untold Stories of women in the Cyclades, the Museum of Cycladic Art is organizing two interactive workshops for women. These workshops invite women on a journey of personal exploration, inspired by archaeology and modern history.\n <\/div>\n \n \n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n

They are designed and will be conducted by Angeliki Kosmopoulou, Story Strategist (StoryMentor), and will include a guided tour of selected objects from the exhibition led by Dr. Evy Papadopoulou, Curator of Antiquities at the Museum of Cycladic Art.<\/p>\n

Both workshops draw inspiration from ancient and modern artifacts showcased in the exhibition, revealing unknown stories of women from the Cycladic region and highlighting timeless values such as resilience, leadership, and personal growth. Participants will have the opportunity to view familiar challenges from a fresh perspective\u2014challenges that originated in antiquity but continue to resonate today.<\/p>\n

Each session begins with a presentation of selected exhibits, which serve as a starting point for reflection and discussion. Through interactive storytelling exercises and the sharing of personal experiences, participants will discover connections between their own lives and the stories of Cycladic women, gaining insights that can illuminate their everyday lives.<\/p>\n

The workshops are a celebration of women’s contributions throughout the centuries and an opportunity to explore how their messages remain relevant, offering valuable lessons for both the present and the future. The workshops are open to women of all ages.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

“The Power of Female Leadership”<\/h3>\n

Leadership has always been a journey of seeking strength in the face of challenges within societal structures. This workshop explores the nature of women\u2019s leadership through the lens of ancient stories, offering valuable insights into the qualities that define impactful leadership.<\/p>\n

Participants will examine values such as resilience, strategic thinking, and adaptability, using them as tools to redefine their roles as leaders in both their professional and personal lives.<\/p>\n

“Discovering the Art of a Balanced Life”<\/h3>\n

Balancing family, career, and personal aspirations has been a challenge for women for centuries. This workshop explores the multiple roles that women have traditionally taken on, offering participants the opportunity to discover modern strategies for maintaining balance.<\/p>\n

Through storytelling and shared experiences, participants will learn ways to align their personal and professional goals, creating harmony in their daily lives.<\/p>\n

Angeliki Kosmopoulou | Bio<\/h3>
Angeliki is a classical archaeologist (PhD) and certified storytelling coach. She studied archaeology in Greece and the U.S. as well as business administration in the UK. She taught archaeology and ancient history at the university and worked in cultural management and communications, helping businesses, organizations, politicians, artists and scholars voice their ideas and promote their work. Today she works as story strategist and philanthropy advisor in Greece and is the founder of Storymentor, a non-profit organization leveraging the power of stories. . She writes and publishes stories since 2006. Her book \u201cHow to Tell a Story\u201d came out in 2022 (Livanis publications).<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\n

Evy Papadopoulou | Bio<\/h3>
Evy Papadopoulou holds a PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology from the University of Ioannina. She specializes in mycenaean settlements \/ citadels and mycenaean cemeteries, with a particular emphasis on the social stratification of local communities. During the last decade she has been active in the field of cultural storytelling, with ultimate aim the transmission of archaeological knowledge and the ancient Greek civilization to the public. Since April 2023 she works as Curator of Antiquities at the Museum of Cycladic Art.<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition Kykladitisses: Untold stories of women in the Cyclades<\/em> at the Museum of Cycladic Art pays tribute to the women of the Cyclades, shedding light on their lives and their role in the societies of the islands of the Archipelago from the Neolithic period until the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Over 180 masterpieces, most of which have never travelled outside the Cyclades, while others are being presented to the public for the first time, reveal the fascinating world of the women of the Cyclades, who emerge from obscurity and tell us their unknown stories.<\/p>\n
