\n Just a few weeks after the opening of the exhibition “Cindy Sherman at Cycladic: Early works”, the Museum of Cycladic Art is organizing a Cycladic Late Night, on Thursday 27 June from 19:00 to 24:00, where visitors will have the chance to visit the exhibition after hours with a reduced ticket of \u20ac7 enjoying site-specific live music performances. \n <\/div>\n \n \n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n

Sissi Rada, Christina Vantzou, Pina Bounce, K.atou<\/strong>: four artists of Greek and international electro-acoustic music, will present live music performances and a DJ set in dialogue with the works of Cindy Sherman at the Stathatos Mansion.<\/p>\n

\u201cCindy Sherman at Cycladic: Early works\u201d is a major exhibition presented by the Museum of Cycladic Art bringing together more than 100 works of the world-acclaimed American artist Cindy Sherman. The artist\u2019s first solo museum exhibition in Greece offers a comprehensive view into Sherman\u2019s ground-breaking and influential early series exploring how women are imaged in popular culture, including Untitled Film Stills<\/em> (1977-1980), Rear Screen Projections<\/em> (1980), Centerfolds<\/em> (1981) and Color Studies<\/em> (1981-1982).<\/p>\n

Working by herself in the studio, Sherman transforms into various imagined characters in different contexts taking on all the roles required for the creation of her works. The exhibition focuses on women, their identity, and representation, and examines through Sherman\u2019s works, a vast range of female stereotypes, posing ever-present questions.<\/p>\n
