Dovecotes are unique folk creations and architectural monuments. They are rectangular buildings to be found in Cyclades, where pigeons used to find shelter. Externally, they are elaborately decorated with recesses in geometric motifs which give each dovecote a unique look, adorning the islands’ footpaths.
