Green Museum

A strategic goal of the Museum of Cycladic Art is to reduce its energy footprint and educate the public on environmental issues.

✓&nbsp;In 2019, together with WWF Hellas, the Museum created Cycladopolis, an educational game for children over 6 years old, which circulated in schools in Greece and abroad through the Museum’s Museum Kit on Cycladic culture. The main goal of Cycladopolis is for students to understand the value of nature for life on our planet and learn about biodiversity in the Cyclades and the concept of sustainable development through fun games and riddles. ✓&nbsp;The Museum develops educational programmes to raise children's awareness of environmental issues. ✓&nbsp;The Museum recycles waste and uses LED lamps for 80% of the lighting.&nbsp; ✓&nbsp;The <a href="https://cycladic.gr/en/shop?museum=1" target="_blank">Cycladic Shop</a> uses only paper bags. ✓&nbsp;The <a href="https://cycladic.gr/en/page/cycladic-cafe" target="_blank">Cycladic Café</a> uses biodegradable straws. ✓&nbsp;The solvents and plastic bags used for cleaning are biodegradable. ✓&nbsp;Recycled paper is used for most purposes (photocopies, napkins, etc.).
